Hi, everyone. The mod of Deceptive Perception here and I've got a few killer characters that need to be filled in order to keep the creative juices flowing. We are in dire need of several members of the ruling families in the game and everyone seems to have someone who would make their lives just that much better!

Deceptive Perception is unlike the supernatural games floating about right now. In this game, the world of the supernatural is known and has always been known. In fact, the ruling families of the land are vampires and demons. Of course, these aren't your normal everyday demons and vampires. Our vampires don't incinerate under the light of the sun or ash when killed. They're a highly organized part of society with their own rules and regulations. Demons also aren't your run-of-the-mill demons. They are creatures who possessed humans and became semi-mortal thousands of years ago. Elemental creatures of immense power that share the political power of the lands with the vampires. And don't get us started on the therianthropes! These noble creatures have their own law and if you break it, you deal with them.

And that's just three of our great creature-types! We cater to dragons, djinn, angels, and faeries as well, but don't count out the mortals because they still live out their lives in this magical place.

I am currently looking at the 84 works that had been tagged by their authors into the Star Wars fandom to figure out if we can make Star Wars a synonym for Star Wars Original Trilogy temporarily, because currently there is only one work in any of the synonyms of Star Wars Original Trilogy, because that work was tagged into the Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi fandom initially by its author (full disclosure: that was me). All of the existing characters and pairings tags have now been untangled, and the fandom tag Star Wars is now a temporary synonym for Star Wars Original Trilogy.

As soon as we get metatagging capability, Star Wars will be a separate tag which encompasses all of the component Star Wars fandoms under its umbrella, so to speak... all of the movies and expanded universe tie-ins and books and videogames and tv shows and whateverthehellelse... and we'll all be able to breathe a little easier.

I have James Potter and Rita Skeeter over at The Other Side. Think of this game as your wet dream crack characters in a game with substantial plot. I promise it's worth your time. Promise.

Rita currently needs:

(♂) "Bozo" Bosso. He ends up being Rita's cameraman for the Daily Prophet, but in school Rita, Gilderoy and Bosso would hang out. He's "Bozo" in canon, but in game canon that's just Rita mispronouncing his last name and then sticking with it because she's stubborn like that. Oh, and Gilderoy also demands you come over. Don't say no to him. He has gorgeous hair.

Horace Slughorn because she adores him. She needs a teacher who likes her just a little bit and since Rita has future success written all over her, it wouldn't be surprising that Slughorn wants to collect her.

Hesper Keddle. He's an original character that's been mentioned in the game. He runs the local newspaper and let's face it, Rita wants to score a job there. It would be great if he could mentor her on the wonderful methods of destroying people via articles.


James currently needs:

Peter Pettigrew because they all need the mousy little Marauder to tease. Come join your Brethren, Peter! They need you. Plus, James and Lily don't know you betrayed them in the future yet, so you don't have to worry about them hating you.

Molly and Arthur Weasley. Why? Because Harry married Ginny and well, he wants to have a talk with the Weasleys about it. Maybe grow closer over some pints and have long talks with Arthur about how scary redheaded women are when they're mad. Their heads aflame. It's terrifying and he needs someone to bond with over this other than his son.


Plot-wise we need:

-Dopple!Draco Malfoy and Dopple!Lucius Malfoy. (Dopple!Narcissa is in pending!)
-Dopple!Rodolphus Lestrange. Bella needs her hubby. Oh, and our Dopple!Neville is going to need his adoptive father, after all.
-Dopple!Sirius, Peter and Remus. The Dopple!Potters want you around. And, really, who wouldn't? Maybe in the New World, Peter is redeemable? Up to you!
-Dopple!Fenrir Greyback. Head of the "Guard Dogs".
-WEASLEYS. C'mon! You guys spread like rabbits, how is there only one of you over here? Ginny wants her family! Not to mention Harry needs Ron.

Of all of the things I never, ever, ever expected to say in this lifetime...

Because general_jinjur is amazing, and the OTW is amazing, and the AO3 is amazing, and the Wrangulator is amazing, and because everyone who is uploading stories and tagging them is amazing...

Oy, this day. Or, well, yesterday, at this point. The less said, the better. And did I mention I got my period this morning? oy.

I left work late - I think I was the only person left in the office - and all I wanted was to come home and watch this week's Friday Night Lights. But the file I dl'd wouldn't play on WMP or QT or even VLC. I updated DivX and it wouldn't play on that either. So I deleted it, rebooted, and redownloaded, and it worked.

I thought I might actually get through the episode without crying. I don't know why I thought that. I don't think it's ever happened, and it certainly did not happen tonight.

I'm Jennifer and I mod and play in a few games that need some fresh blood, along with storylines filled.

Darkness Rising is an extremely active Marauders Era game which takes place during the height of the war in 1978. We have extremely active and wonderfully written characters, have been open for close to a year, and we have solid plots planned for many more months to come. We would love to have the following characters:

Exodus is a brand new Marauders Era game that opened on Halloween and closing next November. That's right, we'll only be open for one year. Why you ask? Because we want to solely explore the final year of the war against Voldemort. The game will be dark, bloody, and yes, characters will die in game. We opened with a huge battle and the Potters thrice defying the Dark Lord and they are now on the run. We will be spend the year of the game unraveling how everyone got from prophecy to 'omg everyone is dead'. We've got kick ass players and we would love to see more. The characters we are seeking include:

( Wanted Characters including James, Peter, Frank, Xeno, Rodolphus, etc. )

Quadrivium is an interim game taking place during 1990 at Hogwarts dealing in character development and setting the foundation for the plot of the books. We're a small cast, looking for more students to increase the level of drama in the school, break up relationships, start new ones, and anything else to your heart's content. We're an escape from everyday RP and we welcome shipping, IC drama, and having a good time when all we want to do is have a bit of a cracked-out time. What we really need are more students, including a few love interests for some of our characters. Most of all, we need some younger students, as in June the majority of our cast will be leaving Hogwarts, and who then will keep Gossip Witch in business? At this time we'd specifically love to see a Charlie Weasley, who is a recast, and any questions can be directed to me.


Recuperatio is a Post-DH game taking place in 2005, revolving around a third war in the Wizarding World, werewolves, serial killers, etc. We're active and have a strong cast with strong plots and we're looking to grow so that we can introduce even bigger plots.

Supernatural: Abandon All Hope

Okay, so I tried to do a rant section and a non-rant section of this post, but the ranty stuff kept intruding. So while I really liked many aspects of this episode, the rage kept intruding. Just so you know.

So I watched the Space promo for tonight's SPN.

( spoilers for the promo, speculation for the episode )

On a similar, but not quite the same note, faye_dartmouth has an interesting post about the issues she has with the show in s4 and s5, and while I don't agree with a lot of it (I am more optimistic about how the end game will play out, at least in terms of Sam and Dean and their relationship), I think her point about the apocalypse is sound.

The thing is, they used to connect with the people they saved - they used to save people because people needed saving, and they used to get some satisfaction out of it. At least Dean did, and I think Sam was getting there.

Stopping the apocalypse means, yes, saving 6 billion people, but it also tends to make them 6 billion faceless, unknowable people. I said this way back in season 2, but this kind of arc always draws things inward and narrows the world when it should expand it out - instead of concentrating on saving people! hunting things! Sam and Dean are themselves hunted and in need of saving, and the lack of connection with the people they are saving hurts the show as much as the fact that they can't really go all out and give us a real apocalypse. Last week's episode was a nod towards earlier seasons, when they did connect with the people they saved, but now they spend too much time being backed into corners and having to save themselves, and it's just less compelling to me that way (the same thing happened in the later seasons of BtVS and Angel, so it's not like I wasn't expecting it).

Meh. I am PMSing and cranky. Hopefully tonight's episode won't give me more reason to be.
